Two Door Cinema Club played their second show in the Bay Area this year at San Francisco’s Masonic Auditorium on Tuesday, September 17th. “It’s good to be back on this side of the Bay” Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals) said, referencing their May 2024 show at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Hailing from Ireland, the three piece indie rock band composed of Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday, and Kevin Baird has released five studio albums, the most popular of which is their debut ‘Tourist History’ and sophomore album ‘Beacon’. Playing largely tracks from these records, along with other fan-favourites such as ‘Changing of the Seasons’, Two Door Cinema Club maintained strong energy throughout the performance. Many of the concert goers appeared most familiar with songs from album ‘Tourist History’, with hits such as ‘Undercover Martyn’ and ‘Something Good Can Work’. “I want to thank you all for coming out and spending tonight with us” lead singer Alex Trimble said gratefully, “it really means the world to us that you would come”. They closed out the night with the hit single “What You Know”, ending the show on a high. With devoted fans who continue to attend shows, at least partially for nostalgic joy, they are sure to receive a warm welcome next time they return to the Bay Area. Two Door Cinema Club will continue their tour across the world with venues such as YouTube Theater in Los Angeles to Everblast Festival in Kota Jakarta Utara, Indonesia.
