Roddy Ricch brings out a once in a lifetime performance at the Hollywood Palladium to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. The Compton based rapper pulled out all the stops to close out the year with an absolute bang by playing the aforementioned album from front to back. In addition, he also brought out fellow artists Marshmellow, Ty Dolla Sign, and Terrace Martin as guests with surprise songs like “CARNIVAL”, “Project Dreams”, and his debut performance of “Lonely Road”. The production design was also among some of the best that I’ve seen all year with an entire house being constructed with an LED screen being placed in the garage to mimic cars and access for Roddy to climb around the house and perform anywhere he’d like. Needless to say Roddy’s energy was utterly chilling as he gave an absolutely memorable show as he celebrated the album that put him on the map in the modern day hip-hop scene. The sold out crowd was absolutely reciprocal of Roddy’s energy as they were cherring with joy and rapping along to the lyrics of each track. The mosh pits were absolutely incredible and everyone at the show was having an amazing time. Since Roddy had just announced that he was working on a new album set to drop in 2025, there was palpable excitement in the air not only from Roddy him self but also those in attendance. Although there are only a handful of days left of the year, the rapper let his live performance ensure that he cements himself as one of the best acts of 2024 right in his home town of Los Angeles.
