Last week, Make Them Suffer brought their North American headlining tour to the sold out Beanfield theatre in Montreal. Joining the metal-core band across the continent was a powerful lineup featuring Like Moths To Flames, Windwaker and Aviana. Ready to kick off an unforgettable night was Aviana, impressing with their energetic stage presence as they got the crowd moving in circle pits. The group stand apart with their use of melodic elements accompanied with heavy riffs, vocalist Joel Holmqvist seamlessly transitioning between lighter choruses to aggressive breakdowns. They performed their most recent single titled “Storm Blaze” as well as fan favourites such as “Anomaly”.  Jumping on stage without prelude was Windwaker, performing an intense set list packed with songs from their completed sophomore album Hyperviolence: Expansion Pack, which was released a couple weeks ago. The band enjoyed themselves onstage, dancing and feeding off the crowd’s energy as they ran through popular tunes such as “Sirens” and “Tabula Rosa” with a huge uptick in crowd surfing as the set ran on.Next up was Like Moths To Flames as they pumped up the crowd’s energy with their heavy hitting set. There was a great number of crowd interaction, with vocalist Chris Roetter jokingly teaching the crowd step by step how to jump on cue and encouraging everyone to dance along. They played a number of songs off their album The Cycles Of Trying To Cope and closed off with a throwback to “Bury Your Pain” released back in 2015. Last but certainly not least, Make Them Suffer entered to excited cheers as they lit up the stage. The group ran through track off their self-titled and self-produced album released in 2024, jumping through rousing editions of “Epitaph” and “Mana God”. The band remarked how the tour marks over seven years since their last headline in North America, and thanking the crowd for the sold out venue. The band’s excitement was palpable as they remarked how incredible the tour has been thus far.
