Indie rockers flipturn took the stage at Oakland’s Fox Theater on Saturday for the Bay Area date of their Burnout Days tour, which also shares its title with their brand new LP that just came out in January. The group, born in Florida in 2015 while members Dillon Basse (vocals), Tristan Duncan (guitar) and Madeline Jarman (bass) were all still in high school at the time. Opening the show with the song ‘Juno’ and mixed in a few fan favourites like ‘Chicago’ during the encore. The set was packed with great tunes, surprisingly including their biggest hit ‘August’ in the middle of the performance. From the opening chords, the crowd cheered and screamed lyrics throughout the set. Members of flipturn had huge smiles lighting up their faces through the show, expressing to fans that this concert was one of their favourites on the tour! flipturn will continue touring this year extensively, with dates scheduled across North America and Europe, from Denver to New York to Amsterdam, including the famed Bonnaroo festival so check your local listings for dates near you.
