Folk rockers The Avett Brothers returned to San Francisco on Thursday April 10th in support of their self-titled 2024 LP, which was the group’s 12th studio release. Comprised of Scott and Seth Avett, as well as Bob Crawford (double bass, electric bass, violin, backing vocals) and Joe Kwon (cello, backing vocals), the group performed both new and old hits to dedicated fans with the help of several touring members. With the venue styled in a fairly new theatre layout including designated seating and stands on the typically-GA-floor, the large Bill Graham Civic Auditorium felt more intimate than usual which was fitting the band’s warm style. With a long, 23 song set-list filled with fan favourites like ‘I And Love And You’ and ‘Ain’t No Man’, The Avett Brothers made the crowd feel right at home. Despite being Grammy nominated several times over (and performing at the 2011 awards show), the members appeared humble, with Scott Avett even joining opener Charles Wesley Godwin on stage for a song during his solid set.
The Avett Brothers will continue to tour throughout 2025 with dates at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO and several festivals, including Outlaw Music Festival in TX already confirmed.
