Ohio punk-rockers Heart Attack Man have kicked off their Joyride the U.S & Toronto & Also Vancouver Tour in support of their brand new album, Joyride the Pale Horse. A very honest tour name that pokes fun at artists who announce a North American tour but only playing in the United States with one Canadian date – so we appreciate an honest title. The new album was released this past April 25th and was received positively by fans and critics. It is an essential Heart Attack Man album that elevates their unique guitar twang, vocals and pop-punk sound. My personal favourites are Spit and The Gallows so have a listen when you can! Heart Attack Man delivers a high energy show with fans practically spilling onto the stage as lead singer Eric Egan leans into the crowd, both parties screaming into the microphone in unison. It was an absolutely stacked bill of openers with Dear Seattle, Carpool and The Dirty Nil. Three power house bands coming from Australia, Rochester, New York and Hamilton, Ontario respectively. Shifting the tone from indie rock to some more harder sounds as the evening went on, all in good fun with a group of dedicated fans. One fan even gave the lead singer of Dear Seattle a small kangaroo plushie, it was very sweet. Heart Attack Man’s headline tour closes out on August 9th in Oklahoma, but there are so many chances to catch them on tour this year. Whether you’re in southern Ontario, Quebec, the United Kingdom or Europe, they’ll be hitting up a city near you.
