Stepping into Toronto’s HISTORY venue on the night of August 30th, d4vd’s Withered World Tour delivered a performance that radiated raw emotion, electrifying energy, and a few delightful surprises. The evening ignited with New York’s Laundry Day taking the stage. Their opening number, “R U READY?”, lived up to the hype introducing the crowd to the band’s seamless synergy. When d4vd finally hit the stage, he launched into “What Are You Waiting For?”, darting across the stage and connecting with fans in every corner. A flawless back flip during “Take Me to the Sun” was a moment the crowd cheered long after. As he eased into a softer mood, the audience joined in beautifully on “Here With Me” and “This Is How It Feels”. Right after a tender interlude, Laufey’s “From The Start” played, and the energy surged back. True to his promise, d4vd unveiled the night’s most adorable surprise: plush Labubus. These collectible, little-monster dolls are trending worldwide, and he unboxed three of them live and then, without hesitation, launched them into the sea of fans. It made for one of the most playful, memorable moments of the show. The show took another high note when d4vd introduced an unreleased song, “Best Friend”, featuring RealestK, who joined him on stage for the track. The track made its debut live in Toronto, delivering a fresh, intimate experience for the crowd. He also turned the spotlight back onto the audience by getting everyone to sing along to “This Is How It Feels”—the collective voice of the audience was a testament to the emotional bond between d4vd and his fans. From there, d4vd’s set-list unfolded with poignant and beloved tracks like “Crashing”, “Where’d It Go Wrong?”, “One More Dance” and “Feel It”. He nodded to fans by saying “Toronto” instead of “Houston” during “My House Is Not A Home” creating a meaningful moment of connection. The night crescendoed through “Afterlife” and “Romantic Homicide”, wrapping up in an emotionally charged finale.
