On Sunday night, Yung Gravy made his first solo appearance at History in Toronto to perform live for his Canadian fans north of the boarder. The rapper has been ripping across North America for his Voluptuous Voyage Tour which has been going on since the start of fall. This concert in Toronto happens to be the tour’s only Canadian date as the rest taking place in the United States. Supporting Yung Gravy was indie rapper Pertinence who brought his brand of hip-hop to the stage and impressed the crowd and got people bouncing. The night’s wardrobe consisted of red plaid pajamas that were obviously inspired by the holiday season. Opener Pertinence also shared in with the Christmas apparel as him and his hype man came dressed to match YG. Supported by DJ Tiiiiiiip, who actually took some live song requests from the audience before Gravy hit the stage. When it came time for Yung Gravy to grace the stage, the crowd willed him out of the back to the tune of “Magic” which kicked off the set list. The performance would contain a mix of new and old songs such as “Mr.Clean”, “oops!” and “Debbie”. The performance concluded with a two song encore with the track “On The Hunt” sending the crowd home happy.
The rapper is still promoting his latest studio album from 2024 titled Serving Country so we expect an announcement soon for some new music hopefully sometime in the new year. The Voluptuous Voyage tour is scheduled to continue on into the month of December with some show dates in the US so check your local listings to see when he comes to your area.
