Click your heels and say “there’s no place like home” with LØLØ as she closes out her first ever headline tour titled “U Tour Me On” in her hometown. The stage was decked out as an homage to The Wizard of Oz much like her debut album artwork for falling in love with robots and wishing i was one, with a robot chilling on stage right, a yellow brick road (carpet), a photo of very cute dog on the front of the bass drum ala Toto and LØLØ’s Dorothy inspired outfit. Between the energy that the fans bring and seeing the artists’ supportive friends and family in the audience, this hometown show turned out to be a special one. This was the biggest pay off after many months of opening, as she spoke to the audience LØLØ expresses that she wasn’t ever sure she’d go on a headlining tour. And here we are at the end of tour, with her selling out almost every single night – congrats to you, LØLØ! Blending the sounds reminiscent of early 2000s pop-punk with modern alternative rock, LØLØ will leave her mark in the alt-scene for years to come. Accompanying the tour and starting off the night was pop singer Gus, a fellow Ontarian from Oakville. Whose music feels like a nice summer day, with a clear sky and a soft breeze. He later joined LØLØ on stage for the song debbie downer. Complete with pompoms, a mini cheer routine and even bringing a fan on stage to dawn the debbie downer sash. The memorable moments don’t stop there as one of LØLØ ‘s crew members dressed as Sabrina Carpenter pranked Gus on stage while he covered Taste. There was also a very sweet fan project of paper robots and hearts being held up for wish i was a robot. Missed your chance to see LØLØ this run? You’re in luck as you’ll be able to see her at select festivals in Europe, on tour with Simple Plan, and VANS Warped Tour this summer.
