British alt rockers Divorce came to Berkeley, CA’s Greek Theater supporting Mumford & Sons on June the 10th. Opening the show in style, the group played a solid set, including tunes from their debut album Drive to Goldenhammer, released back in March of this year. Formed in Nottingham, England, the band was pleased to state that it was their first time in Berkeley, with lead singer and bassist Tiger Cohen-Towell stating that they had In-n-Out burgers, which “oh my god” is “the best burger in the world definitely”. Their song “Antarctica” was shared by Marcus Mumford and was a driver for Divorce to join Mumford & Sons on tour. Between tunes like “All My Freaks” and “Gears”, band members made the crowd laugh, peppering intros to songs with jokes and references to their band name, at one point referring to themselves as the most enjoyable divorce the crowd will experience. Divorce appeared genuinely excited to be playing the popular Bay Area venue, stating that this is one of the biggest show’s they’ve played and thanking their manager Ryan for representing them from the start.

We’d recommend checking out Divorce wherever you get your music and you can catch them on tour across Europe throughout the summer and then back in the US for their headlining tour, including San Francisco’s Brick and Mortar Music Hall.
