Goth Babe took to Oakland, California’s Fox Theatre on Monday, September 30th to hundreds of thrilled fans. The indie-rock singer/songwriter didn’t just perform his original tracks but also engaged the crowd throughout the live performance. From splitting the crowd down the middle and pitting the two halves against each other in a dance battle to shredding guitar on the barricade. Goth Babe kept his fans both excited and engaged throughout the show. Born and raised in Tennessee, Goth Babe is the solo project of Griff Washburn, who released a series of singles and EP’s under the moniker starting in 2015 before putting out his debut LP ‘Lola’ this year. With a set list full of upbeat tracks such as “Casita” and “Canary Islands”, Goth Babe kept the energy high throughout the show. Albeit short, the set was fun and packed full of good vibes with a crowd smiling and dancing throughout the event. From having a fan who received tickets for their birthday to fans crowd surfing in a pool float. The antics continued to the end when the band invited a dancing concert goer onstage for the group’s finale song “Weekend Friend”. Goth Babe made the concert feel like a gathering of family and friends with the warm atmosphere the music created. Goth Babe will be touring for the next few weeks at US venues like the Red Rocks Amphitheatre before heading to Australia for a few dates.
