Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee! Pop-rock darlings Honey Revenge took over The Opera House in Toronto with Nightlife and Daisy Grenade on their first ever headlining tour! A whooping 33 date tour rolling through America and Canada (although all Canadian stops have been made) and festival appearances at VANS Warped Tour and Riot Fest later this year. Illuminated in a pink and purple glow, lead singer Devin and guitarist Donny command the stage with groovy dance moves, high kicks that can reach the sky and of course, Devin’s amazing voice to tie it all together like a bow. Cementing themselves as one of the best new pop-rock acts to come out of the scene. A Honey Revenge show can be described as one big party, lots of dancing, good vibes and even a conga line – a tour tradition when Favourite Song is being performed. The Toronto show was even more of a party as the band celebrated a birthday of one their team members; complete with a crowd sing-a-long of Happy Birthday. Tour openers Nightlife and Daisy Grenade were both amazing. It’s not every show you get to see the audience be excited for every band on the line-up, so this is definitely a testament to their unique sound and talent. Nightlife blend soul and post-punk sounds that’ll have you moshing along while a saxophone plays in the background. Daisy Grenade shines bright in the alt-pop genre, topped off with amazing harmonies and sprinkling in a little choreography on stage during their songs. It was a show to be remembered, I can see each artist’s fan bases growing as time goes on – and it is well deserved. You can check out Honey Revenge’s new single Risk here!
