What came to be known as “John Summit Weekend” in New York City concluded last Sunday with the DJ’s highly anticipated performance at Dreamland Pride in Central Park which was hosted by Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage. The energy John Summit brought to his set was unbelievable given that this was his fifth NYC show in the span of four days. Building up to his big Madison Square Garden debut on Saturday, Summit threw two surprise pop-ups: an intimate show at Brooklyn’s Public Records on Thursday, and a boat rave on Friday. The after-party that followed his MSG show took place at Brooklyn Storehouse where the DJ played until about 5:00 AM. Still, he showed up the next day in rainy Central Park to put on a show none of us are likely to ever forget. As John Summit would tweet earlier that day: “This weather is not giving gay rn but the gays need me and when they ask I deliver”. Everyone in the venue that night was having the time of their life! The first two opening performers were Disco Dom and Spain’s very own DJ Suri. Both artists were absolutely phenomenal along with all the amazing dancers who truly made it an unforgettable end to Pride month in New York City. Up next for John Summit are some Canadian tour dates up north in Surrey, British Columbia and The Badlands Festival in Calgary, Alberta. The DJ also has a pair of concerts scheduled in Las Vegas in July as well as a trip to Europe so check your local listings for show dates near you.
