Elder emos who grew up listening to this band at Warped Tour gathered at History in Toronto on Wednesday May 21 to see Mayday Parade. This would be one of the many sold out stops on their Three Cheers for 20 Years Tour, with supporting acts Like Roses, Grayscale and Microwave. Their set list went on a walk down memory lane as they went through various hit songs on each one of their albums. This included bangers like “Jersey”, “Jamie All Over”, “Miserable at Best” and “Oh Well, Oh Well”. The band invited Collin Walsh from Grayscale to sing “Three Cheers for Five Years” with them. They would tug on the heart strings of everyone in attendance by doing a flashlight lit from phones of the crowd as they sang the tune “Terrible Things”. Crazy to believe a band from Tallahassee Florida, who started in a garage has been able to make such an incredible impact on so many lives, including my own.
