After braving the elements, Alemeda delivered a fun and energetic performance at the TD Music Hall last Monday, February 23rd. She fought so hard for a Toronto stop on her tour that she was not going to let the snowstorm that hit New York the night before, stop her from getting to her Toronto fans.
The Where The Hell Should I Go Tour was in celebration of her latest EP But What The Hell Do I Know which was released this past November. The seven song EP includes massive collaborations with label mate, Doechii and Rachel Chinouriri. The genre blending EP combines elements of pop-punk, RnB, rap, indie, pop and rock. It’s an honest and emotional record, that shines a light on a different side of growing up within your mid to late 20s. You think you see everything for what they are in your early 20s, then you reach 25 or 26 (when your frontal lobe fully develops) and ask yourself, “but what the hell do I know?”. And on top of releasing a new EP, she even got to perform at last years Camp Flog Gnaw.
Kicking 2026 off with a brand new single titled Broken Record. A catchy and in your face song about not being appreciated enough in a relationship, up until you leave them. It leans more into the garage punk side of music and it made me want to mosh hearing it live for the first time. I loved getting to see Alemeda interact with the audience, it felt very organic and effortlessly funny. Towards the end of her set, Alemeda asked the audience for what songs should be played next and one enthusiastic fan called out that she should play “Don’t Call Me” again – which she played towards the beginning of the night. Since nobody has ever asked for the song twice in one night, her and her band delivered.
Hand selected by Alemeda herself, local Toronto Indie artist Seago kicked off the night. He was beaming through his whole set and forever grateful for the opportunity. Even going on to say that he originally had tickets to see this very show after they went on sale – anything can change in an instant. He has previously performed at NXNE in 2025 and definitely an artist to watch out for.
The Where The Hell Should I Go tour may be over, but I am certain the music scene will hear a whole lot of Alemeda throughout 2026. To keep up with her, drop a follow on social media @alemeda.
