Whispers played a phenomenal show at the intimate Proyecto venue in Los Angeles. Following the success of their Warped Tour performance in Long Beach just one day prior, the Bangkok hardcore band Whispers embarked only a handful of miles up north to Los Angeles as part of their California tour. With support from Leave No Doubt, Condition One, and Mizery, the night was filled with immense energy and camaraderie as the hardcore scene celebrates the return of Proyecto. Each and every one of the openers were profusely amazing during their sets and pits were formed immediately after they all took the stage while they played some killer riffs and encouraged the crowd to let loose and have fun.
As Whispers came onto the stage, they were filled with an immense amount of charisma and energy that was likely fueled by the fact that they had such a small but action packed tour so far and have been soaking up every second of it. While small, the band’s discography is nothing short of intense and aggressive which comes to no surprise that they continuously label themselves as Bangkok Evilcore which in turn has become one of their most famous tracks. Just like any other hardcore band, the Thai band led by vocalist Nitisart Chaiburi, guitarist Kitti Suwan, guitarist Weerayuth Klibpratum, bassist Tanin Meemongkol, and drummer Piyawut Thongprakob encouraged everyone to watch over each other and protect each other both in the venue and outside. With a stacked yet small set-list containing “Bangkok Evilcore”, “Retribution”, “Hell on Earth”, and “Chaos Breed”, the band knew how to keep everyone enthralled and entertained.
As their California tour comes to a quick end, I hope their future tours continue to highlight their immense talent as artists as their heavy riffs and larger than life appearance have become staples in the genre.
