Indie pop band St. Lucia brought their 2026 tour to San Francisco, CA’s August Hall on Sunday May 17th. Fans of all ages were eager to welcome the band back for their return after a number of years without touring in the US. St. Lucia performed songs from throughout their discography, from their earliest single “Dancing on Glass” released in 2013, to their most recent 2025 release “Crimes of Passion”. Audience members were prepared for the set, singing along and cheering when fan favourites like “All Eyes on You” and “China Shop” were performed, both upbeat tunes that encouraged the crowd to jump around. St. Lucia, consisting of Jean-Philip Grobler (lead vocals, guitar) and his wife Patti Beranek (keyboard, percussion, backing vocals), were joined by touring musicians Ross Clark, Nick Paul, and Dustin Kaufman. They kept the energy high throughout the performance and despite Grobler’s admittedly hoarse voice, strained from four back to back to back concerts, still managed to put on a great show! Adorably, the couple’s sons, aged 5 and 8, could be seen enjoying the set from the pit and throwing handfuls of fallen confetti during the band’s closing hit “Elevate”. St. Lucia appeared pleased to be back in San Francisco and encouraged the crowd to continue connecting with others, a wry comment aimed at San Francisco’s status as an AI hub. Despite the dig, Grobler commented on how much he enjoyed seeing the diversity in the crowd and seeing fans come back to see them. While the group’s current set of dates is wrapping up, you can still catch St. Lucia in the U.S in August and on June 25th in London for our international readers.
