In between two jam packed weekends at the world famous Coachella Music and Arts Festival, Los Angeles based pop duo The Two Lips plays an extraordinary sold out show at The Roxy. The LA based duo has been on an incredible run as their fanbase has been growing immensely since their quick inception in 2023 and now they’re out here performing at the world’s most prestigious festival and catering to fans who might be missing their Coachella set in their home city. Led by friends Julz and Andrea, their energy on stage is captivating and reminiscent of 2000’s pop rock artists as their charisma was incredibly infectious. The two women also coordinated their dances to each song in a Sailor Moon styled way that added to their personalities and made me appreciate their stage presence even more. The audience wasn’t just witnessing a duo play their songs for them, but they were also witnessing a small spectacle and in my opinion – the next big thing. The duo’s poppy songs mixed with 2000’s rock and 90’s dream pop creates a beautiful sound that is fitting for their name as it truly sounds like something you’d hear at a tulip garden.

With a setlist consisting of songs like “blossom”, “it’s complicated”, and “still love you (todavia)”, the duo’s heart, soul, and creativity are successfully translated from the studio to the stage with fans singing and dancing along. Although their discography is relatively short due to how new they are, I’m excited to have seen them at this stage this early in their career and I was also able to catch their Coachella set which was just as amazing as their Roxy set! As time progresses, I’m excited to see just how far they can take their already great music as well as to how many more people they can catch with their phenomenal presence on stage. Make sure to follow The Two Lips on social media @The2Lips to stay up to date on future music releases and more news from the pair!
